This research is motivated by the extent to which teachers are role models for their students who have a huge influence in the world of education on religious and moral values. The exemplary method is one of the appropriate methods for teachers to use in instilling moral religious values in children aged 5-6 years. Where the child is 5-6 years old, the child can already understand what the teacher is doing, what the teacher is directing. This study is intended to answer the problems: (1) What is the role of teachers in instilling religious and moral values through the role model method for children 5-6? (2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the role of teachers in instilling religious and moral values through exemplary methods in children aged 5-6 years. The problems were discussed through field studies, the data sources were the school principal and teacher RA Kahful Ulum, this research was descriptive qualitative research, data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Then, after the data was collected, data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research are the role of the desert in instilling religious and moral values through exemplary methods for children aged 5-6 years which were developed in accordance with STPPA including deliberate exemplification, namely the teacher reads a prayer when he wants to carry out an activity and after completing the activity, the teacher does so by praying on time. , sharing, mutual love and affection for God's creatures, honesty, caring and helpfulness which is done repeatedly and continuously. Teacher RA Kahful Ulum's unintentional example is that, because every teacher is an example for his students, a teacher should be able to maintain speech and behavior which will inadvertently be seen and can be imitated by his students.
